These full color elevations were shown prior to commissioning the sketch in order to get an idea of which direction CNN wanted to take the "feel" of the room. CNN wanted to keep the overall cherry wood look of the flagship anchor broadcasts but also keep a dynamic edge since the pillars dominate the architecture of the room (they are in every shot) this was a good place to start.
