"People Magazine" Staircase

If you need to change things it's a lot easier to do it on paper.

The walkthrough video of this spiral staircase had already been approved. One week before going on air the project manager saw it for the first time. It was to be a free floating stair without any support except from the top stair and the landing. It was also supposed to break apart for storage in 5 pieces

A drafting of the proposed staircase was requested. After highlighting the potential problem spots which needed engineers approval while at the same time giving all the pertinent measurements for construction the drawing was ready for review.

The initial plan was revised to allow for the stair to be welded as a single unit and supported with airplane cable.
