Implementing a design is about scheduling and forethought.

This is a picture of a 12 foot board a freight elevator. It doesn't fit. You can't bend it to fit, You can't tweek it to fit. It just doesn't fit.

This elevator doesn't have a service door in the roof. The stairs are narrower than the elevator. The windows in this building do not open. Access from the roof is restricted. This could cost you a lot of money- especially on a weekend- especially in a Union Building.

The solution? A good survey prior to building the set which reveals problems just like these so you can plan ahead and build in small pieces which then fit together on site.
